JumpFly Attends Bing Ads Product Advisory Group Meeting
March 20, 2016 – JumpFly was invited to, and participated in, the Bing Ads Product Advisory Group (PAG) Meeting in Santa Monica, CA. JumpFly’s Nikki Kuhlman represented JumpFly and was excited to see that Bing engineers were on hand, interested in feedback, and ready to make changes. This event featured Microsoft Engineers asking questions to some of the most aggressive users of their platform, in order to obtain valuable feedback. They wanted to know what is working, what is not working, and where they can improve their tools like the User Interface and Editor.
The invitation read:

The opportunity to hear about and register for upcoming pilot programs
Kuhlman found the event to be incredibly valuable, stating that, “Having JumpFly represented at a Product Advisory Group meeting was important for our agency. We were able to talk directly to the engineers that are shaping the Bing Ads tools and let them know what they needed to work on and how they can help us manage our clients’ accounts more efficiently. The Microsoft engineers were extremely receptive to our suggestions, and we’ve already seen improvements in the UI based directly on our feedback at the meeting.”
After the event Kuhlman heard back from an engineer that she met at the Bing Product Advisory Meeting, who stated that, “Following up from last week, we have started actions on examples you shared. We are doing a staged release of the algorithms to mitigate the bad matches you have been seeing. You can expect to see improvements in BMM matches at your end either end of the week or early next week. I am keeping a close watch on addressing the concerns and appreciate your patience.”
Kuhlman was additionally contacted by Paul Apodaca, who is a Microsoft Principal Product Manager, in charge of all the engineers and program managers for Bing, who she met at the PAG in Santa Monica. He wanted to see if she would be willing to come out, all expenses paid, and speak at the Engineer’s All Hands meeting in Seattle on April 25th. Kuhlman plans to head to Seattle. Brad Garlin, JumpFly Founding Partner, said, “We are happy to see that Microsoft is receptive to our needs and also incredibly responsive. Bing has been listening to customers and making changes to help advertisers be more efficient and successful. Their efforts are appreciated and will help advertisers save time and achieve better results.”
