JumpFly Attends Yahoo! Search Workshop
August 31, 2011 - JumpFly was invited to attend a Search Workshop at the Yahoo! office in Chicago. JumpFly Account Executive Nikki Kuhlman attended this informative event where she gained valuable insight regarding adCenter best practices. Upon returning to JumpFly, Nikki prepared a presentation to share with JumpFly's entire team, bringing all Jumpfly staff members up to speed with current best practices and how to apply them in order to maximize adCenter results for JumpFly clients.
"We are incredibly grateful that Yahoo! provides JumpFly opportunities like this. Yahoo! created the ideal program, enabling all parties involved to benefit. As a result of this workshop, Yahoo! will likely see increased ad spending from JumpFly clients, JumpFly will provide the best possible adCenter management techniques, and most important of all, JumpFly clients will attain the best adcenter results possible. Everyone is a winner and that's what I like to see," commented JumpFly Managing Partner, Brad Garlin.
This Yahoo! workshop specifically provided:
- Microsoft adCenter Search Optimization best practices to improve account performance
- Training on new features & advancements in Microsoft adCenter
- Tips on how to monitor & help improve adCenter performance
- Overview of available adCenter tools & how to best use them
- A platform for concerns to be heard regarding adCenter tools & functionality
- One-on-one sessions with Yahoo! experts
Nikki additionally spent time meeting various Yahoo! executives, including Jeff Seward, Manager, Account Management, North America, Rob Wilk, Senior Director - Search Account Management, Leslie Sloan, Senior Marketing Manager and several others. This event further strengthened an already excellent relationship between JumpFly and Yahoo! and will ultimately result in JumpFly clients maximizing the results of their adCenter Accounts.
Some will likely wonder why Yahoo! is hosting a workshop about how to best optimize Microsoft adCenter. In review, on July 29, 2009, Microsoft and Yahoo! announced a search and advertising partnership intended to create a stronger rival to Google. Under the pact, Microsoft provides the underlying search technology on Yahoo!'s popular Web sites, getting Yahoo! out of the search technology business. Yahoo! receives a significant share of the search-generated ad revenues without the expense of search technology. Under the 10-year deal, Yahoo.com and Bing.com will maintain their own branding but search results on Yahoo.com will say "powered by Bing." Yahoo!, in turn, is responsible for attracting advertisers. At least for now, it is in Yahoo!'s best interest to see advertisers succeed with adCenter.
